School's Out For Summer!
(well, almost...)
Are your Kids Ready to Rule the Neighborhood?
Make sure your whole family is ready to ride! Whether you're looking for trailers/ trailing bikes for the littlest family members or your child is ready to start powering themselves, we have exactly what you need to start building the best two-wheeled summer memories.
Striders for Starters
For the tiniest budding cyclists, Strider bikes teach the fundamentals of steering, leaning, and balancing without the distractions of pedals or training wheels. Children as young as 18 months have learned the basics of biking with Strider's innovative balance bike design. We carry a wide range of colors to appeal to even the most discerning young cyclist. Stop by and see how much fun a Strider can be!
Miles of Smiles
Trek kid's bikes are the epitome of safety. From the dialed-fit components and frames to the same high quality craftsmanship of our adult line (all assembled by our expert mechanics), our kid's line bundles safety and style into one awesome package. The Mystic line for girls and Jet line for boys come in 12, 16, and 20 inch wheel sizes, so stop by and have our highly-trained sales staff size your child to the perfect bike.

For those ready to move into larger bikes, our MT60, MT200, and MT220 line (available in both girl's and boy's styles) serve as terrific stepping stones towards mastering shifting, hand-brakes, and everything else involved in higher-level riding.
Off the Grid
Whether your child is signed up for mountain bike camp at the Y or you just want to start exploring some of the amazing local mountain bike parks (Dryer Road park is particularly great for beginners and skill-building), make sure he or she has a bike that can truly hold up to the rigors of single track. The Trek Marlin, boasting disc brakes and the perfect size wheel for the frame (either 650b or 29er) is a great entry-level bike for a novice, and for the young racer Trek has some amazing junior versions of their higher-end adult bikes, the Fuel and the Superfly
Go the Distance
There's nothing like a road bike for conquering longer distances. If your family plans involve tackling a ride like the TourdeCure or Bike MS, a road bike can make the longer distance much more doable for a youngster. We have the Trek KRX in stock, as well as the Felt F24X for the aspiring cyclocross athlete (or for the rider interested in a lighter bike for canal path riding). Stop by for a test ride if you're ready to see your kids fly!
We are a proud sponsor of the 2015 Sage Rutty TourdeCure. With distances of 3-100 miles, there's bound to be a distance that you and your family will love! Join us on June 13, 2015; let's ride together to stop diabetes!
