Common injuries. Simple solutions.
Tweak your form, not your body.
Below is a list of common cycling related injuries that can be easily avoided with a bit of knowledge and behavioral correction. Don't fall victim! Prevention is the name of the game.

Head injuries
Super common. Super avoidable. Use your head, wear a helmet. It's that easy.
At Bontrager and Giro, safety goes hand-in-hand with cool, comfortable, and stylish.

Knee pain
Often due to poor rider position, the knee is one of the most common sites for cycling related injuries. Eliminating pesky knee pain can be solved through modifying cleat position, determining proper alignment or achieving proper arch support. If you are suffering from knee pain, rider position is the most likely culprit.

Neck and back pain
Staying in one riding position for too long often fatigues the muscles in your shoulders, neck, and back. Avoiding this sort of pain can be achieved by habitually stretching the muscles that become sore after a long ride. Improper fit, low handlebars, or poor riding posture are also common issues that can be easily remedied through a proper bicycle fitting.

Wrist and forearm pain or numbness
To achieve excellent posture and comfort on your bicycle, bend your arms slightly to absorb road vibrations. Periodically changing hand position in order to relieve pressure and utilize different muscles can also help prevent numbness. Furthermore, padded cycling gloves are a must have for anyone experiencing these symptoms.

Foot tingling and numbness
These symptoms are often caused by ill fitting shoes. Cycling shoes that are too narrow or too tight can cause foot pain and numbness. If this is not the case, a minor cleat adjustment could relieve this pesky problem. Or, if you're dying for cool new footwear - click here, or here.
