Dear Catholic Friends:
A quick update.
Our IGNITE two days ago in Port Clinton marked the 25th in over a year-- representing thousands who have encountered Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and Confession in seven regions of NW Ohio.
Nearly 25 parishes have said "yes" to becoming communities of "missionary disciples" (Pope Francis). We are blessed by the engagement of pastors, parishioners and national partners in our diocese and beyond. CatholicTV is now broadcasting our weekly Living IT productions, reaching a prospective audience of 5-6 million (See latest: "The Ultimate Controversy- for Thinkers Only").
This is a call to all of us... what the Holy Spirit can do through all of us together.
Among other ways, we are showcasing impactful stories of God's transforming love in Jesus Christ. Latest testimonials include Kelly Reed, Tom Irmen, Jeff Barefoot-- and just released, a very powerful "must hear" testimony by IGNITE worship leader, Nick De La Torre (SHARE with men dealing with pornography).
As we continue to take steps in faith, we ask for your continued prayers and support... especially in this embryonic stage.
We are blessed to have a great, active board of 12 Catholic leaders. At present, we have sustainability of this "bare-bones" level of operation for about three months. We've been blessed by strategic mission guidance under the leadership of folks like Tom Irmen and Jeff Barefoot.
We have real need of adding 4-5 employees near term.
Praying to be fully responsive to the Holy Spirit, all of us believe this movement promises to be a real "game changer" in the New Evangelization. Please consider joining us for our IGNITE New Evangelization Banquet, featuring Peter Herbeck, on September 4 (prior to IGNITE at St. Joan of Arc).
