Dear Friend,

As NATO prepares to meet in The Hague, the intersecting crises of war, climate breakdown, economic nationalism, and the ongoing genocide in Palestine are intensifying. From soaring military budgets and rising geopolitical tensions to Trump’s renewed trade wars and the scramble for critical raw materials, this is an important moment to demand peace, demilitarisation, and global justice.

While global military spending has reached a record $2.4 trillion, the question of how public resources are allocated has never been more urgent. In the context of accelerating climate breakdown, deepening inequality, and persistent structural violence, continued investment in militarism threatens the very foundations of peace and sustainability.

On 21–22 June, a coalition, made up of organizations and activists will gather in The Hague for the NATO counter summit to explore just and demilitarised alternatives.

We've created a dedicated page compiling key resources, critical analysis, and the event details to help you engage with this crucial moment.
