Subject: Friend, We have some exciting news to share with you!

Greetings,

We have come through some challenges in 2020 heading into 2021 and things are looking brighter. We are continually looking for ways to brighten the path and shine a light on those dark areas. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the social justice inequities, we are continuing to shift, grow, and build to better support you and our communities. There are 3 things that our clinical director, Latasha Matthews, has accomplished to support us all in this season. See them below. We are also providing you with a resource to help you along your way.

As always, if you need support please reach out!

Best,

The Illumination Counseling and Coaching Team

1. We are now a fully virtual practice and we are serving residents of Georgia and Florida!

  • We closed our physical doors and opened up our virtual office to expand our reach. Both, Darrin and Latasha can now support any resident of Georgia via online appointments.

  • Latasha is now licensed to support Florida residents virtually. Note: She is unable to accept insurance for Florida residents and they will have to pay her self-pay rates

2. Need a little boost with setting boundaries? Don’t know where to start, or what to do? Latasha has you covered!

Latasha has created 5 different decks of boundary-setting conversation cards. These card decks contain affirmations (that can be used daily or as often as you need) as well as, prompts, tips, myths, and more!

Order your pack during the presale (which ends 6/7/21) and take $5 off of your order.  The cards are located in her shop where you can also order her book on boundaries ‘The Dumping Ground’.

3. Looking for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion support in your workplace?

Latasha is now a certified Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace Professional!

She offers training and webinars to businesses and teams of all sizes. Visit latashamatthews.com to submit an inquiry for this service.

Yesterday and today mark the 100th anniversary of The Tulsa race massacre, which took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, when mobs of White residents, many of them deputized and given weapons by city officials, attacked Black residents and burned businesses of the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, US. The Guardian posted a poignant article by Ed Pilkington ("Tulsa race massacre, a century later: wounds still open and weeping") that gives an insight into how this event lingers and affects US citizens today.

Here are a few resources to support your journey (or your clients’ journey below).
