Dear praying friends,
We are having a wonderful visit with our son-in-law, Stephen Sell. Thank you for praying for his visit and for our travels.
1. Stephen is the life of the party and the kids have really enjoyed spending time with him. Ariela (3) took to him right away and it is fun to see them play since Ariela looks just like Elizabeth did 17 years ago!
2. We were able to visit six different Roma areas in Serbia and Croatia. We're grateful for safety over 800 of miles of driving over a three-day period. As I write this, Stephen and Bob are on another 500-mile, two-day trip in Hungary and Croatia. Please pray for stamina and continued safety.
3. It was a blessing to meet with a Roma pastor in Serbia who faithfully ministers to 17 different home groups and his church. Bob was able to encourage this pastor and talk about sharing with him Bible study materials and children's Bible club materials in Serbian and training his church how to use those materials. We are humbled by these servants who live simply and serve faithfully.
4. We were able to do some informal survey work to find out which Roma dialects are spoken in an area of NW Serbia. More work needs to be done but it was nice to meet individual Roma, see which villages or parts of town they live in, and get an idea of the ministry needs there.
