| Dear praying partners,
The pictures and text above are from a draft of the translation we are doing of 50 Bible stories into the Gurbet language, a Roma dialect spoken by as many as 200,000 people in Serbia and Bosnia (many of whom are Muslim). My colleague and former student and graduate of the Bible Institute where I taught in Bosnia, Goran (pictured below), is translating these Bible stories, which cover the message of the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation, into Gurbet, his mother tongue. He's pictured below in front of his office in Serbia, where I visited and stayed with him for a couple days last month.

| | | | After he translates the stories, he e-mails them to me and I enter them into our translationStudio software (I'm pictured above doing this in my office in Budapest) and check for typos, consistency in translation and to make sure nothing has been left out.
Goran and his wife will come to Budapest next week, where he and his wife will stay with us for a few days while we work together in person on checking and correcting these Bible stories. We also will have some training time to discuss Bible translation theory and practice. I will be able to give him the computer tablet donated by Wycliffe Associates which I have set up with the translation software he will need. And if time allows, we might even begin work together on a book of the Bible, perhaps Mark. These are exciting days since I have known Goran for almost 15 years and we have longed for the day when time and finances would make it possible for him to begin Bible translation into a Roma dialect.
We are raising $630 in monthly support for him so he can spend his full time on translation work. 4) other translators and editors to be raised up to help check the translation for accuracy; and
5) open doors to begin using these materials in print and digitally once they are translated.
