| | Dear praying friends,
Paul asked his brothers and sisters to pray for him. In the same spirit I come to you today with a couple prayer requests. Brethren, I'm standin' in the need of prayer!
1. This weekend we begin our travels to speak at various churches, beginning at Woodland Community Church in Runnels, Iowa (near Des Moines). Please pray for me that I will be able to preach the Word with passion and make clear to my listeners the needs for Bible translation among the Roma (Gypsies) of Europe. The Scriptures are full of passionate calls for us to "declare God's glory among the nations". Pray this will become a living passion and holy ambition in the lives of those who hear me speak.
2. To be truthful, it has been quite stressful and harried to make all the transitions of coming to the States for our home assignment. There has been much to do with packing, moving, unpacking, setting up house, taking care of things for our time in the States (shopping, getting things out of our US storage, getting phones, a car, etc.) complicated by unexpected things such as flat tires and computer problems. So please pray for peace, lowered anxiety and love and calmness in our home, "that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity."
