Dear praying friends,

Our home assignment in the States has come to a close. We’re packing up the house in Lake Tapawingo, MO, where we have lived these last six months and will board the plane to Budapest on January 30. We are pictured above in the throes of packing, deciding what goes with us and what stays in storage in the States.

It has been good to be with our grown kids during this time in the States. (Timothy, 27, is pictured below with Pam.)

Our trip to Orlando to Pioneers’ headquarters was great. While we met and talked with the home staff, several dear children’s workers for Pioneers took our kids to Disney World (pictured below) the first time to an amusement park for any of them!

As soon as we get back to Hungary, we will start the process of house hunting in Croatia. Some of this can be done online or by our teammates in Croatia, but we will need to make the four-hour drive there to look at houses in person. Thank you to each one who gave so generously! You all gave more in 2017 than any year before in our 25-year missionary journey. The extra support is such a blessing as we prepare for this international move! Bless you all!

When we go house hunting, we will also visit friends in Croatia and Todd will visit the Roma translators and work on editing the Bible translation drafts they are working on.

We’re thankful for the progress being made in Bible translation for the Roma languages. Here are the current stats on the translation work. (Each translation goes through six major stages. There are over 100 tasks to complete all six stages.)

STAGE 5. Consultant Check

STAGE 6. Publishing
