As some of you know, our 2010 Toyota Corolla was totaled recently, but thankfully, no one was hurt. Within just a few days, the Lord had provided an economical replacement, which we purchased and are so thankful to have.
We thank the Lord for the progress over the last several months in Bible translation in the various languages we are working in. The first portions of the Old Testament (Genesis, Jonah, and Ruth) in three languages, Serbian Arli, Gurbet, and Chergash, and the first book of the New Testament (Mark) in the Macedonian Arli language, were published digitally on the Internet and a Bible app. Every step in the translation process is important, but there is something special about completing the final step for each book so it becomes available to the public to read.
We’ve also made good progress on quality assurance (consultant checks) for 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, 1-3 John, and the Gospel of Luke in Macedonian Arli, and for 1 Samuel in Gurbet.
We’re encouraged by the feedback that we have received from those who have heard and used these newly published books. The following is a quote from the Serbian Arli team:
“During one of our community checking sessions, … Vladica, together with other team members, visited both believers and non-believers. While spending time in fellowship and conversation, we read from Genesis chapter 18, the passage where God tells Abraham that He will not destroy the city if there are righteous people in it.
As the passage was read, everyone became quiet and thoughtful. People began reflecting on their own hearts and lives, asking themselves what it means to be righteous. The story of Sodom sparked deep discussion; many participants shared how it made them reconsider their actions, their attitudes toward others, and the choices they make daily.
Several people commented on how clear and understandable the translation was, which helped them connect with the Scripture more personally. By the end of the session, it was evident that the passage had made a meaningful impact—encouraging both believers and non-believers to reflect seriously on their own hearts, and fostering heartfelt conversation about justice, mercy, and personal responsibility.”
Thank you so much for your prayers and faithful financial support!
