About Wynn:

Most people don't know that Wynn is a very accomplished singer/songwriter. He had songs recorded and co-wrote songs with legendary Brian Holland. Brian was one of Motown's founding songwriters. Brian wrote all the songs of the Supremes and Four Tops with his brother Edward and Lamont Dozier out of the legendary Motown garage in Detroit.

Here's an excerpt from a review of one of Wynn's songs by former Billboard music critic Chuck Taylor:
“With one listen of Wynn Free’s sweet “Wear A Smile,” audiences of all ages will be grinning ear to ear. Precious, melodic and truly joyous.”

Here's another comment from a fan:
"I feel peaceful when I hear your voice. You have soul which comes across and there is an innocence and truthfulness in the feeling of the song.... Also, the variety of instruments and the production of each song is brilliant, it makes each song truly unique and a real pleasure to listen to."

And here's a comment from Barry Morrow who won an Academy Award for writing the screenplay for Rain Man, with Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman.
"The more I listen to your CD. the more I love your material. Both your writing and your vocals remind me of Randy Newman, Billy Joel, and Tom Waits"

About Wynn and Laina
Laina was recently introduced to Wynn's work and discovered that Wynn and herself were both living in Sedona. She had booked this evening to perform with someone else and they cancelled at last minute, so she asked Wynn if he would like to do the show with her. They did a rehearsal and there was the beginnings of chemistry, so here we are. Wynn will be singing some of his songs and reading some poems, backed up with Laina's playing. Laina promises to share some never before told stories about Frank Sinatra.

We're still getting our act together so there may be glitches and you'll be there to see them. Hope you can make it! And sorry for the last minute notice.
