The Dark Imp's Round Up

Friend, here's your fortnightly round up of new Dark Imp products, publicity and content!

New Products...

On Monday morning, the Cracker Games Kickstarter campaign went live.

Six hours later, the campaign was fully funded. By Tuesday morning, the stretch goal had also been reached.

Now the campaign is almost 250% funded and the pledges keep rolling in. Don’t miss out! Get yours before the campaign ends.

Take me to Kickstarter!

If you're been keeping up to date with Dark Imp news, you'll know that my (as yet unpublished) game, Uranus! has been doing well in an international board game design competition run by The Board Game Workshop. Well, last week I found out that it has made the finals!

There are just 7 games left in the competition now - all of which will be played and tested by the judging panel in the US. The judges are looking for 'elegance' - meaning that the game flows well, players know what they should be doing and all aspects work well with each other.

I'll keep you posted on developments. It is likely to be a couple of months before the results are known.

New Publicity...

This week, The Dark Imp has been linked from an article in The Guardian on 25 Brilliant Ways to Escape 2020's Groundhog Days. The section that links to our website is about playing a socially distanced board game. Mini Town, can of course be played while socially distanced, but our placemat games are also perfect for this.

The Coaster Games, which are super-slimline so are perfect for travelling, have been reviewed by a family travel blog, A Little Bit Social.

And... as you'd expect, there's been loads of publicity for the Cracker Games. Reviews have come out from the Hairy Game Lords, We're Not Wizards, Tabletop Games Blog and Board, Deck & Dice. I've been interviewed on Wycombe Sound about the crackers and they've also been singled out by Jessica Fisher of Gameocity for her Top 5 Kickstarters of the Week.

That's all for now. Do let me know what videos and blogs you enjoy or find useful and we'll make sure we do more of that!

Best wishes,

Ellie
