Subject: Friend board game design is a great for homeschooling

Hi Friend,

Board game design is a brilliant homeschool activity. It requires creative problem solving and can be linked to any area of the curriculum. If you're looking for a fun but educational activity to keep the kids busy for a while, I recommend diving in.

Our Cracker Games were created as a mini game design kit. Yes, there are six games that come in the cracker, but there are also hundreds more games, just waiting to be invented.

We've even created a Family Design Challenge booklet with 25 different game design starting points from 14 different designers. If you backed the Cracker Games on Kickstarter, you will have received one of these little booklets. If not, you can download it here.

When you've created a new game, you can submit it to us and we'll add it to the Dark Imp website!

This week we received our first two new Cracker Games... IMPlosion has been created by Shane Stewart, who is 7 and IMPflakes is the brainchild of his dad, Martin.

Martin said: "The Cracker Games are a really nice set of little board games that the whole family played every day after dinner over the Christmas holiday. And on the twelfth day of Christmas we were inspired to have a crack at making our own games!"

We'd love to hear your thoughts on all the Cracker Games - including IMPlosion and IMPflakes... so do get in touch by replying to this email.

I'm really looking forward to playing your own self-create games. If you're looking for more inspiration, this video will help you get started. So get designing!

Best wishes,

Ellie
