Hello, Writers!
I'm back later today from my holiday weekend cruise. I've been reading and writing and doing my best to enjoy the journey.
Recently, I've been drawn to a lot of memoirs and autobiographies. I think it's interesting to see how others in the arts have built their careers. Two works that have influenced me lately are Neil Simon's Memoirs by Neil Simon and Weekends with O'Keefe by CS Merrill. The Simon memoirs take us through his life and career and it was interesting to me how he managed to write as much as he did. Weekends is rather eclectic, written by a Merrill who verily wandered into a relationship with the famous painter. I highly recommend both books if the theater or art are of interest to you.
There are two workshop events this week:
