Subject: "Is there video submission round for Happy Music Festival 2026?"

Hello!

Valerie from The Happy Violinist!

The Happy Music Festival 2026 has opened for registration since April, and we have received many questions from students, parents and teachers.

Here's the most asked questions so far!

Let's address them:

1. Is there any video submission or qualifying round before the Live Performance round?

Nope! No video submission, no recording, no online performance. And no qualifying round as well.

Once you've registered, you will perform LIVE on the Finals day!

On the performance day, you'll get your results, trophy, physical certificates, festival welcome gift, lucky draw prizes.

If you're among the top performers, you'll also receive the invitation to perform at the Gala concert at Victoria Concert Hall on 19th Sept.

2. Is there any limit to number of performers in each category?

Yes. We have booked the Bechstein Music World Recital Hall for 4 days (two weekends) to accommodate all the performers for this year festival.

However, there is also a limit how many performers we can accept for each category.

We will encourage you to register as soon as you can so you can secure your performance slot before it's sold out. (If you're unable to book a slot for a category, means it's full)

3. Can I register first and decide repertoire later?

Yes. Do register first so you can secure the performance slot for the category of your choice.

Repertoire details can be submitted later before the deadline of 2nd August 2026, 2359 hrs.

Do register before 5th July to get early bird promotion rate too!

4. Can a performer join multiple categories?

Yes you can! You can join multiple categories for multiple performance opportunities too!

For classical categories only, you can only join one - Classical Junior or Intermediate.

5. Can I perform my ABRSM or Trinity exam piece? I'm already preparing for my exams this year!

Yes! All exam pieces from any year under ABRSM, Trinity or LCM syllabus are allowed in the classical categories.

You may have learn 4 exam pieces, so just choose your best piece for this festival!

6. Will I perform to a public audience, or only to my friends/family members?

The audience consist of the judging panel, the family and friends of all the performers of that session, with audience size range from 80 to 110 persons.

So yes, you'll be performing to quite a big crowd!
