Subject: ☀️🌙🌟 CHLQ: Two Spots Left!

We have two spots open for the trip to Mauá.

Mauá has long been a place with a focus on agroforestry and sustainability, and this vibration is palpable in the community.

The energy of working in harmony with nature is evident in the gardens, the reinados (where the Rainha is grown), the cultivation of the Jagube, and in the food served in the community kitchen which is grown in the community.

Participating in the making of the Santo Daime is an amazing opportunity to truly see and experience all that goes into making this sacrament.

This trip is for those wanting to deepen their relationship with, and understanding of, the Santo Daime and experience the path not only in its homeland, but in its most natural form, from forest to bottle.

This trip is different than our annual retreat in that it is much less structured and curated as well as the accommodations being very simple.

The feitio in Mauá is set up so that each one can enter to the level they feel. This is an opportunity for each one to navigate their own experience with the Daime and to decide how much of the work and activities they want to participate in. For this reason we have decided to take initiates in the Santo Daime only as more familiarity with navigating in the Daime is really useful and helpful in this environment.

What the trip includes:

  • 11 days in the community of Mauá participating in the various activities of the feitio which include gathering, cleaning & processing the materials.(Activities vary between women and men).

  • All feitio costs and church contributions.

  • 12 nights of simple accommodation in the community.

  • 13 days of meals: breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner.

  • Two works in church: the concentration on 8/30 to open the feitio, and Alex Polari's hinario on 9/6 to celebrate Brazil's independence day & the anniversary of the church Céu da Montanha.

  • The Boca da Fornalha (work in the feitio house) while the Daime is being made.

  • One STW in the galpao which is the healing space José Rosa built.

  • A few sharings as the schedule allows to check in and see how everyone is doing.

  • Community activities: there will be a party on 6/7 as it's a holiday (Brazilian Independence), potentially a circus or Brazilian folklore presentations, lots of fun things.

  • Transportation to and from the airport.

We'll leave the US on August 28th and arrive back in the United States on September 10th.
