Dear Friends and Community, 

We are inviting you to be part of a very important mission for all those in North America who have the great privilege of practicing this beautiful doctrine here.

Papai Velho Mamãe Velha is a project committed to providing dependable care for the elders of Céu do Mapiá.

There is no pension or healthcare plan in place for these founders who built this community and established our doctrine during the time of Padrinho Sebastião up until today.

Our vision is to gather fardados and practitioners along the path of the Santo Daime to commit to a monthly donation to ensure that these elders receive medical care, proper nutrition, and secure housing as an act of gratitude and respect. These are the people who opened the way for all of us to participate in this doctrine in the places where we are.

Papai Velho Mamãe Velha is managed through the Santa Casa de Cura under the guidance of Isabel Barsé, Clara Iura, and Sonia Palhares. All funds will be distributed fairly and equally based on need by the Santa Casa team that has its feet on the ground there in Céu do Mapiá. We are committed to financial transparency. 

The Foundation for the Healing Force of the Amazon (FHFA), a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is partnering with Santa Casa to fulfill this mission. 

We are seeking 200 donors to contribute between $5 and $30 monthly. Setting up a gift is simple. Please click on the links below to become part of the team supporting our elders.

FHFA will post updates and periodic videos sharing messages directly from the participating elders in their own words. Our hope is that by becoming a supporter of Papai Velho Mamãe Velha, we all may become more connected to our roots by hearing about our elders' lives, hopes, and prayers.
