Governor Bill Lee is demanding that the Tennessee Legislature hold a special session starting August 21, 2023 to enact some kind of Red Flag law in Tennessee this year. It is bad enough that a Republican governor is calling for gun control. It is worse, that the Lt. Governor Randy McNally and other Republicans are doing likewise.
It is critical that Tennesseans fight back against these elected officials who are willfully seeking to impose gun control in Tennessee.
The Tennessee Firearms Association Legislative Action Committee is a state political action committee that has a history of fighting for our rights. It is preparing to make Tennessee's Legislators "feel the heat" if they are tempted to provide any gun control support to Bill Lee. So far, we have raised about $24,000 to help with the costs of radio spots and social media to fight the Red Flag efforts. We are prepared to allocate much of the funds and sponsorships from the 2023 Annual Event to this objective as well.
If you are ready to fight the Red Flag threat in our state, we want your support. Please consider attending the annual event in 2023. We want to have a large turnout to get the attention of those legislators and, hopefully, to celebrate the defeat of the Red Flag agenda.
But, even if you cannot attend, you can help in this effort. You can be an event sponsor or make donations in any amount to the event. We have set up "no attending" sponsor and donor options on the event's site. Use them now to help fund the warchest to fight Red Flag laws in Tennessee.
