TFA Interviews Republican Candidates, or tries to, for Governor

Tennessee’s August 2026 primary will select the Republican nominee for governor in 2026. As a practical matter, that primary IS the election and the November general election will likely be nothing more than a formality.

Tennessee Firearms Association sent its written 27 question survey to all Tennessee candidates for Governor and the Legislature. Of the Republican candidates for governor, only John Rose and Monty Fritts responded. See results. TFA’s survey is not “subjective” like some others. TFA’s policy is to ask the questions, report the responses and provide the voters with the actual questions so that the Yes/No responses of the candidates can be assessed by each interested party.
