TFA's 2026 Survey – Marsha Blackburn Was Sent the Survey — She Did Not Respond
Tennessee Firearms Association has received repeated questions regarding its
2026 Tennessee Governor Candidate Survey. The most frequent questions have been whether the survey was sent to Marsha Blackburn and whether she responded.
The answer to both questions is direct.
Yes, the survey was sent to Marsha Blackburn.
No, Marsha Blackburn did not respond.
TFA mailed its 2026 Governor Candidate
Survey to the candidates identified for the Tennessee governor’s race. (
see list)
TFA appreciates each candidate who took the time to respond and to share their positions on these topics with potentially interested voters. Obviously, we would have preferred responses from all candidates in the race.
TFA’s survey is not based on rumors,
campaign advertising, political labels, consultant messaging, or a
candidate’s claimed reputation. It is not based on subjective “feelings”
about the candidates. It is based on whether the candidate answered
the survey and, if so, how the candidate answered the questions.
The survey contains objective questions
regarding the right to keep and bear arms, constitutional protections,
existing Tennessee firearms laws, and related legislative issues.
Candidates who returned the survey gave voters written answers.
Candidates who did not return the survey gave voters no answers through
TFA’s survey process.
TFA has received questions about Marsha
Blackburn because many voters want to know whether she was given the
same opportunity to answer as other candidates. She was. She did not
respond.
TFA encourages voters to review the survey
results, review the questions, and consider both the answers given and
the absence of answers from candidates who declined or failed to
respond.
TFA’s survey results are provided for
informational purposes only. They should not be construed as an
endorsement of, support for, or opposition to any candidate.
