Some legislators in Nashville—yes, even a few who campaigned as “pro-Second Amendment”—are now not only whispering but are publicly stating that the Tennessee Firearms Association and its leadership are “too toxic.”

Why? Because we’ve dared to hold them accountable to their oath of office and their promises to you.

Let’s be clear: terms like “toxic” are just words that politicians use when citizens refuse to be silenced.

Politicians who break their campaign promises to support and defend the Constitution and particularly the Second Amendment likely do feel threatened when citizens, voters and organizations like the Tennessee Firearms Association publicly call them out for their repeated failures to honor their sworn oaths to God and the people that they will defend our rights.  Perhaps that is what those politicians mean when they label you and us as being "too toxic."

We don’t apologize for standing up for our rights or yours. We don’t apologize for calling out broken promises. And we don’t apologize for insisting that your elected officials keep their oaths to the Constitution. If doing that makes us “toxic” to those who have broken their promises, then we’re proud to be toxic to:
  • Weak leadership that ignores the grassroots.
  • Politicians who say one thing at home and do another in Nashville.
  • Politicians who would sacrifice your rights so that they can get committee appointments and positions of power as "team players" in the eyes of legislative leadership.
  • Any effort to chip away at the rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment.
The real danger to our state isn’t ordinary Tennesseans demanding accountability—it’s elected officials who would rather smear their voters than listen to them.  It's elected officials who make excuses for their failures and inaction.

This grassroots movement has always been about more than personalities. It’s about preserving the freedoms our Founders guaranteed and that ensuring future generations, your children and grandchildren, can inherit the full protections of the Second Amendment.  They can't do that with legislators who label accountability as toxicity.

So when you hear politicians call TFA, other grassroots groups or even you “toxic,” remember: they’re admitting that our pressure and the sunshine on their shenanigans works. They’d rather attack us than explain their records. They would rather attack those seeking accountability that to honor their oaths.  That means you and we are doing our jobs.

Stand with us. Let’s keep the heat on, louder than ever. Together, we’ll make sure Tennessee remains a place where freedom is not just a campaign slogan—it’s a reality.  And, if that means completely replacing every promise-breaking elected official in Tennessee, so be it.

Indeed, with some Legislators calling for the appeal of the ruling that struck down two clearly unconstitutional gun control laws, we can't expect to "reason" a solution any more than our Founding Fathers were able to "reason" with the tyrant of their time in the search for liberty.

Today is Tennessee’s modern-day Lexington and Concord. The state is using your tax dollars to undermine your freedoms with unjustified appeals and with taxpayer funded "lobbyists" from the Governor's office pressuring legislators to keep unconstitutional laws and pass more!

We are pushing back.  Are you pushing back too?   By joining or renewing with TFA today, you will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands of Tennesseans who refuse to surrender their freedoms.  You will strengthen the only grassroots organization in Tennessee fully dedicated to protecting the Second Amendment.

Become a member today! Your membership makes a difference. The state has deep pockets and powerful allies. But when law-abiding Tennesseans unite, we are unstoppable.

Even if you’re already engaged, consider making a monthly member contribution—equal to the cost of a box of ammo—to help TFA keep up the fight. Together, we can win.
