Is the Tennessee Democrat Party planning to unseat incumbent Rep. John Mark Windle, one of Tennessee's longest serving Democrats over 2nd Amendment issues?
News reports broke on March 22, 2022, that a potentially nefarious plan is being considered by state Democrat party leaders to remove long serving House Democrat John Mark Windle from ballot eligibility in 2022 because he has a history of supporting core constitutional rights like those protected by the 2nd Amendment? It would appear so in what some might consider a further indicator that the far left progressives have gained too much control of the Democrat party ... at least in the South.

On March 22, the Tennessee Star network broke a story that examined this issue in detail. The story noted that Rep. Windle has served in the state’s House of Representatives move than 30 years, since 1991. Rep. Windle is a colonel in the Tennessee National Guard who was deployed to Kosovo and who has had two combat tours to Iraq. He was injured during his first tour in a mortar attack. Yet, Rep. Windle has served in numerous leadership positions in the Democrat party and legislative caucus. He is clearly one of the more respected senior legislators in the General Assembly and is often seen by both parties as a principled leader of integrity.
