Subject: Friend, What books did you read in 2023?

January 6, 2023

Friend,

It’s the first week of a brand-new year and if you’re anything like me, you are looking at your goals for 2023. I’m excited about the new year because I anticipate great things to come. That may sound strange considering the direction that I will be focusing on this year.

I anticipate doing more videos and writing projects concerning, culture, politics, spirituality (from a Christian point of view), and current events. After several years of asking questions, reading books, viewing podcasts, and becoming more informed, I decided that my usual focus on destiny and purpose needed to be undergirded with more substance. So, one of my goals for 2023 is to shine a light in the darkness.

The thing about destiny and purpose is that they stand on a foundation of values and beliefs. In the current cultural environment, values and beliefs change as fast as the latest news report. The house is being built on sand (Matthew 7: 24-27).

Times are changing and we must change with them, however, we don’t have to follow the herd. Expressing ideas and voicing opinions has become increasingly dangerous in this environment of competing ideologies, nevertheless, truth, love, faith, and hope are needed.

I’m sure that everyone won’t be a fan, some may be offended or confused but good ideas and information often have that effect. As always, your feedback and comments are welcome!!
