Dear Friend,
This is a project about my family. In the 1800's my family owned and operated a school in Knoxville, TN,. they were involved in education, ministry and community. The stories that I grew up on were extraordinary and gave me a sense of identity. Although this project began as a way for me to pass on the stories, photos and documents to family, I believe that others may find them interesting as well! I'm sharing them by video in a YouTube series titled "The Legacy Project Series." There are ten short unedited videos. Happy Black History Month.

| | | The Legacy Project Series Description
This series of videos are the Chronicles of my family from the birth of my great, great. great grandmother in 1811 up to…the present (it’s progressive so I’m not really sure where I will stop the videos yet}. This is my attempt (Dr. Teresita Glasgow) of passing down my family history. These are not professional videos but are intended as informational. My family has a long and interesting history, as Blacks, Negros, and African Americans (which ever period it covers), former slaves in the United States of America. For the most part, stories have been handed down verbally but there are photos and documents to substantiate the stories. As technology has made it possible to do this by video, I believe now is the time to do The Legacy Project to continue the handing down of the family history.
Note: Sometimes in the various videos I have used great or grand mistakenly as the person may be great, great grand! The generations on The Scroll go back to 1811 thru my mother and aunts birth in the 1920’s while this is a foundational document handed down from my great grandmother related to her family, she also included my great grandfather’s information on the second page (including his mother, father and sisters). The Scroll is an original document which was written as births took place in the 1800’s and beyond of my great grandmother’s, grandmother, parents and siblings but the second page was written by my great grandmother to include her husband, his family and their children and grandchildren.
