Dear Friend,
Today is celebrated as the most holy holiday around the world! For me, as a Christian, it is a reminder that God loves me so much that He was willing to die in my place. Wow. I personalize it because for me, it is personal. While His painful sacrifice was for everyone, I realize that I'm alive because of Him and His sacrifice. Do you know what I mean? He is my personal savior.
I can't imagine what the state of the world would be without His sacrifice. The dark ages would have remained dark. Instead, with the entrance of Christ; light came into the world. For centuries that light gave revelation and illumination which transcended everything else and much of the world embraced Him. But today, He has fallen out of fashion and a new darkness is trying to erase the fact that He was born, lived, crucified and resurrected.
The truth is no longer relevant, there is only "your truth" which can be anything that you choose. However, those who seek power forget that He is all powerful, all knowing and ever present. He cannot be erased. Whether it is the removal of His Name from schools and in public places, it is His Grace and love that allow this world to continue.
So today, I along with many others, celebrate Him because we know that without Him, all is lost. Have a wonderful Resurrection Day (Easter) and remember, He is the reason for the season.
