PLAN A SHOPPING SPREE
What will students do with the money? Students are given a budget with spending categories. They learn how to use spreadsheets to develop a plan.
Following detailed instructions, the young budgeters build a worksheet that calculates taxes and sums the grand total. By visiting online stores, they find items they would like to purchase. Can they afford to buy the item, or will they go over budget? |
| JUSTIFY DECISIONS
Once the spending plan is finalized, activities have students summarize their financial choices in a report. It will include tables and graphs to explain their reasoning. |
