Hello everyone,
One of the doctors we work with brought me an idea, and I want to get it right before we build it.
When they present a treatment plan chairside (say a couple of fillings, a laser fill and a sealant), the patient leaves with a paper copy. Then at home, where the real “yes” usually happens, all they have is the plan itself. Nothing that shows what a sealant actually does, or how a laser fill is different from a traditional filling.
The idea: you upload your own patient-education material (images, videos or short write-ups) and map each piece to procedure codes, the same way consent forms are mapped today. If a code on the plan matches, that material goes along with the plan automatically, on the texted link and in the email. Fully optional.
Before we build it, I’d rather hear from you than guess. Even a one-line reply helps. Just number your answers:
- Do you already have your own education material (images, PDFs, videos, website pages), or would a ready-made starter library from us be more useful?
- Which procedures would you most want explained? (fillings, crowns, root canals, implants, perio, sealants, extractions, Invisalign, etc.)
- Where should patients see it: chairside on the tablet, on the texted link at home, in the email, or in a separate follow-up a day or two later?
- Images, short videos or short written explanations: what works best for your patients? Do you need it in Spanish or another language too?
- Would it help to know whether the patient actually opened it?
If you’re not using Treatment Presenter yet, I’d still like your take. And if your treatment coordinator is the one presenting plans, please forward this to them. They’ll know best.
