It also helps to avoid buying at the top of a tulip bubble,
avoid buying Lehman before a crash, and try not to miss an expanding bubble. Confusing?
If it were easy to hold the course, more people would approach Buffett’s
wealth. He’s made a lot of alpha with little noise.
Disinformation
The Chinese (and others) use
the techniques on the USA today. In a smarter country, this book would be
number one on Amazon.
Twitter
Some of you have noticed I’ve been locked out of my Twitter
account, but you can still see tweets if you click through. Is it someone I
retweeted? Twitter claims I was being hacked. Maybe. People have been trying to
hack my websites.
For the first time, Twitter has tried to text me a verification code,
even though I don’t have 2FA enabled. Unfortunately, the phone number I used to
set up the account is, as of earlier this year, no more. Therefore, I may not
get access, even after filling out a reinstatement form.
I may or may not reappear as @RealJanetTavakoli, but in any
case, Twitter seems a Leftist echo chamber and a bot farm. It may be a good
time to exit.
Coinbase (since December, 2017)
Did I even mention I test drove Coinbase several years ago and
bought $100 worth of Ethereum via credit card. Coinbase was fine with that. It
wasn’t so fine when I wanted to link it to a special purpose bank account. It
sent a couple of pennies for me to verify the amount.
But then it wanted a high
res photo, my driver’s license, etc. I was locked out of my account. Coinbase claimed my hi res photo wasn’t hi res enough (it was),
and kept asking for access to my device/s so that it could use the camera.
Hmmm…NO!
Like Twitter, there has been no human contact, and I’ve never regained
access to that account. I’ve tried off and on over the years…since December, 2017.
Today, I wouldn’t be able to get in due to this account having
the same now-dead phone number as my Twitter account.
I’m glad I didn’t do a bigger test run.
