Video Tutorial: Cross-reference study
Video

One of the most significant tools in SwordSearcher 8 is the KJV-TSK: the classic tome of cross-referencing integrated right into the Bible panel, for faster and easier use.

This video takes a closer look at the KJV-TSK Bible tab and demonstrates how you can use it to your advantage during in-depth verse study.

You'll also see a few ways you can customize how the KJV-TSK reference panel works.

Watch the tutorial video here. (8:04)

Bible study tip: When you come across a verse that is hard to understand, don't go straight to a commentary. I know, this may sound like a strange suggestion from someone who makes Bible Software, but just give this a try and see what happens. I am not suggesting that there is anything wrong with reading commentaries -- that's not what this is about. Try to make a habit of cross-referencing before you do anything else in SwordSearcher. Before you read your favorite commentators or start clicking on links in the Bible margin for topical references, check out some cross-references first. If you already do this regularly then you already know how satisfying this is during Bible study. If you never really did it this way before, give it a shot using the KJV-TSK.

Study Library Spotlight: Through the Bible, Day by Day (F. B. Meyer)
Books

Through the Bible, Day by Day is a devotional Bible commentary by Frederick Brotherton Meyer (1847-1929). Meyer was a Baptist pastor in England, a co-laborer of evangelical work with D. L. Moody and A. C. Dixon.

Originally published in 7 volumes, Day by Day is a commentary focused on personal application and is esteemed highly even by some who rarely take an interest in devotional writings.

Meyer believed and taught the imminent return of the Lord. Though born in London, he made tours to North America, South Africa, and other areas in his work, even in the latter years of his life. At the time of his death, secular publications wrote of Meyer and his contemporaries as participants in a "wide and increasing empire of Christendom" (New York Observer) for their public work.

Meyer's commentary was added in version 8.1.
