Study Library Spotlight: Jonathan Edwards' Notes on Scripture
Books

Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) was a formative force in 18th century America; a pastor and a revivalist. Over the span of his ministry, he wrote in his personal notebooks about 500 Notes on Scripture.

In this SwordSearcher module, these notes are compiled together in the form of a commentary. Rather than appearing in the order he wrote them, each note appears on the verses in Bible-order, making this much more useful as a study reference.

Read the complete description here.

And did you know? The SwordSearcher book module Great Preaching of the Faith has Edwards' famous sermon: Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.

Video Tutorial: The Bible Word Cloud Generator

SwordSearcher video Here is a video tutorial on using the Bible Word Cloud Generator in SwordSearcher.

I call this a "scripture discovery" tool because it gives you a way to visually explore relationships between Bible words and verses that is unique and fun. It creates fascinating lists of words from a passage or search results that give a visual image of the relative emphasis on words in any given group of verses.

At about 4:20 in the video I demonstrate how a word cloud can be used after a Bible search to give you words that are frequently associated with your search terms elsewhere in Scripture.

Watch the video here. (5:17)
