| A new video is up, demonstrating now natural language search works with "Find Verses About" in SwordSearcher 10. |
|
Have you ever tried to find a verse you vaguely remember, but couldn't come up with the right keywords? Or wanted to look up what the Bible says about a topic like "anxiety," only to find that the words you are looking for are not the words the Bible uses?
SwordSearcher 10 introduces Find Verses About -- natural language Bible search that finds verses by meaning, not just keywords.
Search for "don't worry" and find "Be careful for nothing" (Philippians 4:6) and "Take no thought for the morrow" (Matthew 6:34). Search for "the prodigal son" and go right to Luke 15 -- even though "prodigal" never appears in the Bible.
You can even select text from a commentary or sermon, drag it to the search tool, and find the Bible verses being alluded to.
It runs entirely on your computer -- Nothing is uploaded to the Internet. No AI service, no cloud. It works 100% offline.
I made a short video walkthrough showing how it works:

This doesn't replace keyword search -- it complements it. It's a way in when you don't have the vocabulary, and a way forward when you know what you mean but not how to say it. |
