Things got a little hectic last Wednesday, and last week's newsletter went out without the numbers filled in. Oops! 😳

It's been a month since summer reading began, and we're already up to 249 summer readers—that's higher than our last five summer reading programs! Last year was also a record-breaking year, ending with 215 summer readers.

This week, we're all the way up to 1,178 books. (Last week, the missing number was 892 books.) Great job, everyone!

These numbers are from Wednesday night, so they've certainly gone up since then.

The leaderboard has rocketed past the top place in last year's summer reading. It must be the weather—it's too hot outside, so better stay in and read.

pearlmsqueaks maintains the number one spot, with at total of 86—wow! Hammy1142 has scooted up to second place, followed by Katekearns in third and Patt58 in fourth. After that, we have three two-way ties: CounselorSch and Iroberts0517 in fifth place, sharonkay and Fawn in sixth, and finally jopanda14 and Kflash12 in seventh. Amazing!

A Night Out or In

Enjoy a night out—or a night in! This raffle will be held Thursday, July 13.

I've had dinner at Hop Haus twice since they've opened, so I can recommend the Korean BBQ tacos (they're sweet, not spicy) and Lou's Fig Melt. Yum!
