Hey there readers!

You're receiving this email because you participated in one of Berlin-Peck's adult summer reading programs. We want to let you know about some updates to the summer reading website—and invite you to our 2026 Adult Summer Reading program, which starts this Monday, June 22!

This year's theme is "Plant a Seed, Read."

Website Updates

We've made some small but important changes to the summer reading website.

Login with your EMAIL ADDRESS. Summer Reading now uses email address (not username) to login. You may need to update your password manager. Your email address will not be visible to other readers.

Duplicate accounts have been combined. We noticed that some readers created a new account each year—or after forgetting their password. If you made more than one account using the same email address, we've combined them all into one account.

Reset forgotten passwords. You can now reset your password by email. Click "Forgot your password?" at the bottom of the login page.

Nicknames. You can now change your nickname without creating a new account.

5-Star ratings. You can now rate your reads!

Teams. You can now see your team, and the team leaderboard, on the website. If you would like to opt-out of participating in a team, let us know.

Reading Teams

When you sign up for Adult Summer Reading, you’ll be randomly sorted into one of seven teams. Throughout the summer, each book you submit online will count toward your team’s total. As your team passes reading milestones, you’ll earn special team prizes!

Let's meet this year’s teams! In no particular order... (just kidding, it's alphabetical order)... we have the Apple Alliance, The Bee Society, The Beet Syndicate, The Butterfly Collective, The Ladybug League, The Pear Posse, and the Pepper Patch.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log in now?

Please use your email address to log in. Use the last password you remember. If you don’t remember your password, please click “Forgot your password?” and check your email for a reset link.

Why did I have more than one account?

This usually happens when people forget that they already had an account, or forget their password, and make a second (or third!) account.

My account was combined. Is my reading history gone?

Nope! When we combined your account, it combined ALL your previous summer reading books together onto one account. To see books from previous years, visit read.berlinpeck.org/events, click on the year, then click on Recently Read.

Can people see my email address now?

Nope! Your email address is still private. Other readers will be able to see your nickname only.

I don’t like my nickname! Can I change it?

Yes! Once you’ve logged in with your email address, click “Change Nickname” right below your current nickname. You can change your nickname at any time.
