Dear Friend,
Each month in The Success Choice System, we focus on a principle that helps transform good intentions into meaningful progress.
This month’s focus is Be Disciplined.
Being disciplined simply means following through once a decision has been made. It’s the bridge between the goals we dream about and the results we want to see in our lives.
Many people wait for motivation to appear before they act. But motivation comes and goes. Discipline is what helps us keep moving forward even when motivation fades.
Here are a few ways you can strengthen your discipline this month:
1. Know Your “Why.”
For every action you choose, determine why it matters. When your purpose is clear, it becomes much easier to follow through.
2. Create a Routine.
Discipline becomes easier when actions are part of a routine. Choose a consistent time and place to work on your goals.
3. Use Visual Reminders.
Keep your commitments visible—on your planner, a sticky note, or a goal card—so they stay top of mind.
4. Repeat Your Intention.
Remind yourself what you are committed to doing and why it matters.
5. Measure Your Progress.
Review your progress regularly. Even small steps forward build confidence and momentum. Consider working with a partner who can encourage and support you.
6. Notice the Joy of Success.
When you follow through on something you committed to, pause and feel the satisfaction of that success. Discipline builds self-trust.
