This simple nursery rhyme can transform a child’s violin bow hold forever!!!
This song and concept has been a game changer since the day I came up with it about 10 years ago! And it is SO simple!!
When your child has created their supple and relaxed bow hold, check that their little finger is gently curved, balanced on top of their bow... (Although I demonstrate on the video on my actual bow, I would highly recommend you using a pencil or mini bow for this exercise, so as not to cause strain in their tiny hands!) Their pinky becomes Humpty Dumpty! This Humpty Dumpty is special, he's not like other Humptys!! He must not fall off the wall! Sing together whilst tapping the pinky on top of the bow... Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall Humpty Dumpty better not fall! Let me promise you this, the children will not forget this easily!!
