Khuensai Jaiyen

Khuensai Jaiyen was born in May 1948 in Mong Ngaw, in what was then known as the Tawnpeng principality in the Federated Shan States, just a few months after Burma gained independence just a few months after Burma gained independence. After attending the Guardian Angels’ High School in Lashio he joined the Kambawza College in Taunggyi and then studied until the third year of Chemistry Major at the Mandalay Arts and Science University (MASU). 


His life took a dramatic turn when in 1969 he joined the armed resistance against Burmese military government led by General Ne Win. Later, in 1996, he became interested in journalism and set up the office of the Shan Herald Agency for News (SHAN) established in 1991 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He has been working for peace in the country after President Thein Sein called for peace talks on 18 August 2011.


Apart from several news and feature articles he is the author of two books:

  • Legend of Hso Khan Fa (1994) in Shan

  • The Making of a Rebel (2012) in Burmese and English

ခွန်းဆိုင်ကျိုင်ယိန်ကို မြန်မာနိုင်ငံလွတ်လပ်ရေးရပြီး လအနည်းငယ်အကြာ ၁၉၄၈ ခုနှစ် မေလအတွင်း ရှမ်းစော်ဘွားများပြည်ထောင်စုထဲက တောင်ပိုင်စော်ဘွား၏ အပိုင်နယ်မြေတစ်ခုဟု ထိုအချိန်ကသိခဲ့ ကြသော မိုင်းငေါ့မှာ မွေးဖွားခဲ့ပါသည်။ လားရှိုးမြို့မှာဖွင့်လှစ်ထားသော ဂါးဒီးယန်းအိန်ဂျယ် (ကိုယ်ရံတော်နတ်သားများ) အထက်တန်းကျောင်း အောင်မြင်ပြီးသည့်နောက် တောင်ကြီးမြို့ရှိ ကမ္ဘောဇကောလိပ်ကို ဆက်တက်ခဲ့ပြီး မန္တလေးဝိဇ္ဇာနှင့်သိပ္ပံတက္ကသိုလ်(MASU)မှ ဓာတုဗေဒ ဘာသာရပ်ဖြင့် တတိယနှစ်အထိတက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။


သူ၏ဘဝသည် ဗိုလ်ချုပ်နေဝင်းဦးဆောင်သော ဗမာစစ်အစိုးရကို ဆန့်ကျင်သော လက်နက်ကိုင် တော်လှန်ရေးနှင့် ပူးပေါင်းခဲ့သည့် ၁၉၆၉ ခုနှစ် နောက်ပိုင်းတွင် တစ်ဆစ်ချိုး အလှည့်အပြောင်း ဖြစ်သွားတော့သည်။ ၁၉၉၆ ခုနှစ် အလွန် နောက်ပိုင်းကာလကိုရောက်သည့်အခါ သူ့အနေဖြင့် သတင်းစာပညာ၏အရေးပါမှုအပေါ် အထူးတလည် အလေးထားမှု မြင့်တက်လာခဲ့သည်နှင့်အညီ ၁၉၉၁ ခုနစ်တွင် တည်ထောင်ခဲ့သော ရှမ်းသံတော်ဆင့်သတင်းတိုက်၏ရုံးကို ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံ ချင်းမိုင်မြို့တွင် စတင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ သမ္မတကြီးဦးသိန်းစိန်၏ ၂၀၁၁ ခုနှစ် ဩဂုတ်လ ၁၈ ရက်နေ့ ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးဖိတ်ခေါ်မှုနှင့်အတူ ပြည်တွင်းငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးလုပ်ငန်းစဉ်တွင် ထဲထဲဝင်ဝင်ပါဝင်လုပ်ဆောင် ခဲ့သူတစ်ဦးလည်းဖြစ်သည်။


သတင်းနှင့် ဆောင်းပါးပေါင်းများစွာ ရေးသားတင်ဆက်ခဲ့သည့်အပြင် ရှမ်းတော်လှန်ရေးသမိုင်းနှင့် သက်ဆိုင်သည့် စာအုပ်နှစ်အုပ်ကိုလည်း ရေးသားထုတ်ဝေခဲ့သူဖြစ်သည်။

အောက်တွင်ဖော်ပြထားသည့် စင်္ကြန်များမှတစ်ဆင့် ပေါ့ဒ်ကတ်စ်အစီအစဉ်များကို ဝင်ရောက်နားဆင် ခံစားနိုင်ပါသည်။
