presents the YOUNG MASTERS WRITERS
COMPETITION (YMWP) 2022 | GRADES 9-12

This national competition, developed to encourage creative writing excellence among high school students, is open to high school creative writers, GRADES 9-12, of poetry and prose. It was developed in recognition of the vital role of writing in our society in an era of shorthand communications facilitated by social media. The YMWP encourages student participation, pride, and achievement in creative writing.

Students will receive a cash prize and certificate from the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, as well as national recognition if selected. See the link for more details.

The entry deadline is March 1, 2022, at 5 p.m. EST.
Students may submit original and previously unpublished poetry and prose on subjects of their choosing.
