Girl Program Specialist
Location: Remote*
*While full-time remote work is available for this position, the employee must live in and is required to frequently travel throughout their coverage area of Beaver, Butler, and Allegheny counties
Starting Salary: $38,000 - $40,000

Role Description
As a Girl Program Specialist, you support and retain girl members by creating, coordinating, and delivering quality programs and events for girl members. You have the privilege of promoting Girl Scouting as an inclusive sisterhood that provides a safe space for girls.
The essential functions of this position include the following:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills & Core Competencies
- Event planning and implementation expertise
- Knowledgeable in girl development to apply and mentor volunteers on successful girl activity and group planning
- Top notch communicator, can confidently present to large groups, and ability to express ideas and facts in a clear and understandable manner appropriate for the individual or group
- Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues and communicate effectively with a diverse group of girls, volunteers, and staff
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook and ability and willingness to learn new systems
- Must be organized, detail orientated, and customer focused
- Ability and willingness to work frequently on-the-road with minimal time in office
- Potential candidates should be comfortable traveling throughout the designated areas on a regular basis
- Full-time position at a minimum of 35 hours a week with additional hours available when planning and implementing events that occur throughout the year
- Able to work flexible hours to include days, frequent evenings, and weekends
- Have reliable transportation
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Degree in youth programming, social services, event planning or related field, or combined equivalent education and directly related work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in related field with proven success in planning and implementing quality programming for youth
