Chains to Gains is a musical production that tells a story of the African slave’s journey from Africa to the United States. In spite of the suffering and abuse they have endured over the centuries the African slaves were able to find hope and solace in singing spiritual songs (Negro Spirituals), hymns and Gospel music which played a significant role in their story of tragedy and triumph from slavery to the present day. This is the reason why African American singers have a singing ability that transcends every other race.
