#SoulBlast - Addressing Historical, Contemporary, and Intergenerational Trauma in the Lives of Black Families

A Virtual Community Conversation featuring
Dr. Huberta Jackson-Lowman

The enslavement of Afrikan people was a traumatic disruption to the institution of the Black family which has persisted in contemporary times. Structural and systemic racism have continued to shake the foundation of the Black family. Naming and understanding the impact of these assaults on the integrity of the Black family is essential for healing, recovery, and reclamation of our authentic ways of functioning. In this workshop, we will initiate a conversation that launches our commitment to collective healing and recovery of our most valued institution–the Black family.
