MEET OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER


Minister Sammie J. Dow serves as National Field Director for the NAACP Youth and College Division – the nation’s largest organized group of youth activists with more than 20,000 young people under the age of 25.

Sammie is an energetic and passionate preacher, community organizer and social justice advocate. His work and ministry is centrally focused on empowering people to reach their maximum potential in life, family and work while creating lasting change in their local communities.

He was licensed to Gospel preaching ministry at Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania under the leadership of Dr. William H. Curtis. Prior to accepting the call to ministry, Sammie was faithfully active in several ministries at Mount Ararat. He now serves as Minister of Young Adults and College Age Ministries at Morning Star Baptist Church in Catonsville, Maryland under the leadership of Bishop Dwayne C. Debnam.
