Bonjour, my name is Bonita Lee Penn.  I am a poet and Managing Editor of the Soul Pitt Quarterly Magazine (a Pittsburgh, PA regional magazine). I also facilitate a community writing group, Umbra/Pittsburgh Writers Workshop.  I have been invited to participate in the weeklong Paris Master Class for Poets facilitated by Cecilia Woloch from January 1^st through January 9^th, 2015.  An incredible group of writers- artists from Paris and United States will gather for creative dialogue, engagement, to share their aesthetic craft and reflect on the importance of the written word as an international language. This workshop will help me continue to develop poems for a chapbook and memoir essays to discover the place of women, African-American women in America and in their communities.
