HER: Dressed To Thrill

Looking for something to do on Columbus Day? Look no further. The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation's high-fashion show, HER: Dressed To Thrill, promises to deliver style and substance.
The event's 6 p.m. reception will include a silent auction, heavy hors d'oeuvres and entertainment.
The runway show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Former Pittsburgh Steeler Mike Logan,
who was part of the championship Super Bowl XL team,
will be a celebrity model.
Karla C. Payne, a veteran actress and singer and award-winning poet, will entertain at the reception.
Talented artist London Festa will be drawing
caricatures for guests.
Directed by LaMont Jones Jr., the fashion show will benefit PBMF's Edna B. McKenzie Fellowship for international reporting on black communities.
Admission prices are as follows:
PBMF members:
$30 for one seat or $50 for two seats
through Oct. 11 at www.pbmf.org.
Nonmembers:
$35 for one seat or $60 for two seats
through Oct. 11 at www.pbmf.org.
Seats will be $40 each for
all attendees at the door Oct. 12.
