Dear SMART Recovery Trained Facilitators,
782,000 participants have joined our online meetings since SMARTfinder rolled out in December 2021!
We’re committed to continuing to improve the SMARTfinder user experience, and we’ve been listening to your feedback. As such, we plan to make a change to make finding a meeting even easier for participants. Starting August 31, 2023, SMARTfinder will allow for increasing the search radius to 500 and 1,000 miles, as needed, so folks can find enough meetings that meet their needs while limiting the impact on local online meeting facilitators as much as possible.
We recognize that meetings may experience an uptick in meeting attendance because of these changes. That impact should be spread out more evenly over more meetings because less individuals will resort to searching in the same large cities to find meetings that fit their schedule. Regardless, we want to offer the following opportunities to learn more about best practices for facilitating relatively large online meetings on Zoom:
