Subject: A Rock 'n' Roll Recovery Story: Give the Gift of Recovery

An inspiring story of self-empowered recovery. View this email online if it doesn't display correctly
Dear Friend,

Statistics show us that hundreds of people die daily in the U.S. from addiction. It is our mission to reach more of these people before it’s too late. To do that, we need your help.

Take Caitlin Darfler, for example. After two years of going in and out of other recovery programs unsuccessfully, Caitlin found SMART Recovery. As she learned about SMART’s self-empowered approach to recovery, she was relieved that she had finally found a program that resonated with her. In 2015, she sought out a meeting in Ann Arbor, MI and thus began her SMART journey.
Caitlin told us, “SMART Recovery saved my life.” A new life that is full of passion – passion for making music and helping others recover from addiction.

It took me two years and several trips to rehab to find SMART Recovery. I was drowning in my addiction and until I found SMART Recovery, there was no way out. I’ve made it my personal mission to get the word about SMART to others earlier in their recovery journey and in more locations that desperately need the help.
You can read Caitlin's inspiring story of her self-empowered recovery, how she has reconnected with loved ones, and the exciting and rewarding life that she’s creating, by visiting our website.
Caitlin’s story is not uncommon. People struggling to overcome addiction sometimes search for years before finding the support that works for them. We don't want that search to take years. We want our unique program to be easily available in every community.
Your tax-deductible year-end donation in support of our Growth Fund allows us to expand so that we can give the gift of our self-empowering recovery tools to more people like Caitlin, who can go on to recover and thrive, using our self-empowering approach.

Because there are millions more people who, like Caitlin, would benefit from our program to regain their lives, we hope that you will consider giving the gift of recovery by contributing to our annual growth fund before December 31.

With Gratitude,

PS. Don’t miss Caitlin's story to learn how she's rocking her recovery!
