Edible Garden's Brand of Locally Grown Produce Is Now Being Shipped To Coosemans Through New York's Hunts Point Produce Market

Edible Garden brand spreads throughout the Northeast

Belvidere, April 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Terra Tech Corp (TRTC) subsidiary Edible Garden, an urban agricultural company, is pleased to announce that their line of hydroponic butter head lettuce is now being shipped to Coosemans Worldwide. Located in the heart of the largest produce market in the world, New York’s Hunts Point Produce Market, Coosmans is a specialty produce company who distributes produce globally. Edible Garden’s produce will be shipped from their Belvidere and Lincoln Park facilities to Coosemans New York, and then distributed throughout the Northeast.

“We are excited about this relationship, as it is one stop shipping point for us and just a short drive from our Jersey farms, says Derek Peterson, CEO Terra Tech Corp. “The Hunts Point Produce Market and Coosemans gives us access to high end restaurants, food service and other retailers that would otherwise be too cumbersome to ship to directly.”

The company shipped their first order this week and will continue to ship weekly. Edible Garden is actively pursuing additional retail partners to fill out their new 5-acre facility as well as their cultivation partners in Florida and the Midwest. In addition the company has been experimenting with new produce in an effort to broaden their offerings to both current and potential retail partners.
