“I fell into the trap of eating sweets and pastries, which increased my weight by +10 kg in a year. As a result of abusing my body, I got constant headaches. I knew that I needed a diet program that would make a total turnaround in my diet and lifestyle, that would force me to be disciplined and at the same time ensure change! That's why I chose Dr. Simeons diet.
I first heard about Dr. Simeons diet through an acquaintance of mine, in whom I noticed a big change. I went to praise him, and in return I received a recommendation to research the diet more and encouragement to try it myself.
Before starting, I had some fears. For example, I was afraid that my stomach would be constantly empty and that weighing myself would become tedious. In reality, I didn't feel like I was hungry! Weighing myself was troublesome, but this was balanced by the fact that the diet rules were clear - rather strict - and there was no possibility of coming up with spontaneous rules of one’s own accord. This is often why other diets fail. I also found that the limited food choices were more of a help than a hindrance.
In the first phase of the diet, my energy level was a bit lower, but my enthusiasm helped keep me on track. In the second half of the diet, I had a lot of energy! As I lost weight, exercising became easier and more enjoyable, which was logical, but still very motivating.
The most important result for me was the improvement in my well-being and health. The headaches that used to plague me constantly disappeared for several months – unfortunately, they returned when sugar returned to my diet.
After the diet, I have developed some good habits that help me keep my weight stable. For example, a green apple has become a daily companion, I have replaced potatoes and pasta with vegetables, and tuna is my new go to. I have also found that zucchini goes well with almost everything.
My advice to those who are considering starting the Dr. Simeons diet: if you have to weigh anything at all, that is only the amount of food you bring to work! There is no point in weighing yourself before starting a diet - you just have to start and then finish it. Yes, this journey requires some effort, but the results are enjoyable and life-changing.”
