We have launched a new Executive Coaching experience within EmpowerED Leadership led by former Sycamore Community Schools’ Superintendent Adrienne James and her team.

This experience, designed to enhance and strengthen one’s leadership capacity, helps administrators inspire others, solve complex challenges, and enrich the culture of teaching and learning.

Leading from the Middle

Far too little attention has been paid to the role that assistant principals have in the development of high performing schools. Today's assistant principals need to be highly effective instructional leaders, innovative thinkers, and agile problem solvers who can respond to a myriad of daily issues and challenges. Leading from the Middle provides specific, practical and replicable leadership strategies for today's assistant principals. In addition, the content has been designed to better prepare assistant principals as they transition into the position of principal.

Impactful Coaching Feedback Cohort

A school-embedded professional learning experience based on Mike Rutherford's Impactful Coaching and Feedback Lab that builds instructional leadership capacity for administrators and instructional coaches. Cohort members will travel in small groups to classrooms and rehearse the art of impactful coaching.
  • Learn and practice coaching and feedback strategies.
  • Identify areas of focus for classroom visits (i.e., OTES rubric, gradual release, school initiatives, etc.).
  • Visit classrooms to observe teachers and provide feedback based on focus areas.
  • Dialogue with colleagues to discuss feedback and coaching strategies and to apply a common language of instruction.

Alternative Administrative Licensure Program

This on-line program will enable administrators who hold an alternative principal, specialist, or superintendent license the opportunity to complete the requirements for a five-year professional license.

This is a restricted event for holders of an Alternative Principal or Specialist/Superintendent License. 

Beginning 9/02/2019, but no worries - you can still register and be a part of the fall cohort!
