Everyone has felt the price increases in the last few years. We have done our best to absorb those increases and taken the hit to profit instead of raising our product or shipping costs. Unfortunately, that has become increasingly unsustainable. We have reached the point where if we want to continue providing you with quality products, something has to change. We went back and forth for the best way to increase profitability with minimal impact to you, our customers. After much discussion, we decided that the least painful option would be to no longer offer automatic Priority Mail shipping on packages over 1lb. We will continue processing your orders in 2-3 business days but while we will offer a “Priority Mail Option”, going forward ALL packages will default to USPS Ground Shipping. The cold hard reality is that shipping charges have more than doubled since we started in 2014 (ex: sm flat rate box was $4.75 in 2014 and is currently $11.30 today) We could charge what USPS charges us, but sometimes I’m able to package it differently than the computer thinks and can ship it a smidge cheaper. So, we decided to do flat rates that were based on our average cost (from USPS) for different package sizes, but they raise their rates 2-3 times a year and we can no longer absorb all of the additional costs. This change is in line with the majority of other online retailers, many of which do not offer a priority option at all. So going forward, our Shipping Rates will be as follows:
USPS Ground Advantage (5-7 days processing by USPS)
• 0-7.9 oz packages (ex. 1 bar of soap / 1 small lotion) will be $4.79 (slight increase)
• 8-15.9 oz packages (ex. 1 medium lotion / 2-3 bars of soap) will continue to $5.99
• 16 + oz packages will be $8.59 (slight discount from previous rate)
• Orders over $69 (after all discounts) will continue to ship for Free HOWEVER, it will default to Ground shipping.
At Checkout there will be a “USPS Priority Shipping” Option. This option will be available on ALL orders no matter the weight. If you select this option you will be charged an additional $5.00.
With the USPS Priority Option checked (2-3 days processing by USPS)
• 0-7.9 oz packages (ex. 1 bar of soap / 1 small lotion) would be $9.79
• 8-15.9 oz packages (ex. 1 medium lotion / 2-3 bars of soap) would be $10.99
• 16 + oz packages would be $13.59
• Orders over $69 (after all discounts) would be $5.00
We aren’t making any promises about product pricing but this is our attempt to keep those the same for as long as possible.
