New Islamic State propaganda posters urge attacks on critical infrastructure as well as the US Capital. See your email for more info.

Supplemental Info:

Several new Islamic State propaganda posters are now in circulation on social media.

In the poster below (circulated in multiple languages including English, Spanish, Russian and Arabic), a hooded figure with the Islamic State logo on his chest holds a lit bomb with a calligraphic logo for the Al Saff Media Group. "Al-Saff" is also the name given to Chapter 61 of the Koran, which carries the general theme of exhorting Muslims to adopt sincerity in faith and to struggle with their lives in the cause of Allah. As a reward, they will earn immunity from Allah's punishment, forgiveness of their sins, and the eternal Paradise in the hereafter.

In the background can be seen damaged electrical transmission towers and structures, along with pools of blood in the foreground.

The phrase JUST TERROR is frequently used to express that attacks are morally right and fair.

The poster also contains the following statement:

O MUWAHIDEEN !!
MAKE A SURPRISE FOR THE
CRUSADERS

The Arabic term Muwahideen means monotheists.

Muslims believe in one God (monotheism). Christians believe in the trinity (one God in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit). This polytheistic belief is viewed by Muslims as idolatry.

The Koran contains numerous verses calling for the killing of polytheists. The most frequently cited of these passages is the notorious "Sword Verse":

Koran 9:5
(Sahih International Translation)

"And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah [alms], let them go on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
Supplemental Info:

In the poster below, a jihadist wearing a balaclava and chest rig stands before a burning U.S. Capital with an explosion on the dome.

The calligraphic logo in the upper-right corner is for the Al Saff Media Group (see explanation above).

The poster contains the following statement:

AND FIGHT THEM UNTIL
THERE IS NO FITNAH

The Arabic term fitnah carries extensive connotations of trial, affliction, or distress.
